AJK UNIVERSITY GRADUATE ASSESSMENT TEST (UGAT)

What is UGAT?

UGAT is University Graduate Assessment test for MS admission.

Parts of UGAT

• Verbal Reasoning
• Quantitative Reasoning
• Analytical Reasoning
• Related Subjects i.e computer science (CS)

Verbal Reasoning (20 marks)

Verbal reasoning includes mainly English questions i.e Synonyms, antonyms, Grammer, sentence completion, tenses, pair relationship etc.

Example of Verbal Reasoning:

Q1: Pick the most suitable synonym for the following given bold words from the given options.
1. Fidelity
A. Friendly B. Loyalty C. Intrigue D. Faithlessness

Q2: Choose the pair of words or phrases in the answer choices that best expresses a relationship similar to that expressed in the original pair.
 Stare: Glance
A. Gulp: Sip B. Scorn: Admire C. Hunt: Stalk D. Participate: Observe

Quantitative Reasoning (15 marks)

Quantitative Reasoning questions are including quantity related mean their answer will be in simple num i.e 34,78,98 etc.

Example of Quantitative Reasoning:

Q1: If an alarm beeps at a constant rate of 16 beeps per minute. How many minutes it will take to beep 88 times?
A. 5 B. 5.5 C. 6.5 D. 23.5

Q2: If 3x = 2(5 − 2x), then x =?
A. -10/7 B. 0 C. 10/7 D. 3/7

Q3: The average of 5, 10, 15 and W is 20. What is W?
A. 15 B. 20 C. 30 D. 50

Analytical Reasoning (15 Marks)

Analytical Reasoning includes reasoning question that describes the relationship and their analysis. one or more options are correct but you choose the more accurate.

Example of Analytical Reasoning

M, N, O, and P are all different individuals

• M is the daughter of N.
• N is the son of O
• O is the father of P.

Q. Which of the following statements is true?
A. O is the uncle of M
B. P and N are brothers
C. M is the daughter of P
D.If B is the daughter of N, then M and B are sisters

Related Subjects (50 marks)

It includes the question of your previous degree or class which you have already completed.
